Just Released, Mother's Day Special from ACLU

Dear Fellow Citizens,

We hope you will spare a few minutes to listen to one of our own family members from Michigan, Lois DeMott, share what life is like when you have a loved one in solitary confinement.  The link is below and we feel you will be most touched by it.

While not all may agree with the ACLU's stance on issues,  this is one issue we believe you all can agree on.  We ask you to support Lois and one of her missions to bring an end to solitary confinement as it is used today in Michigan and many other states.

Please visit our website/blog to read educational information and recent articles by Jeff Gerritt with the Detroit Free Press around caring for the mentally ill in Michigan so that you can become informed and aware of the need for change.  Ask your elected officials what they will do about it.  Ask questions of those you will be voting for.

Humane treatment is a right, not a privilege.   Please sign this petition and upcoming petitions.
